Canon Collins Trust is currently accepting scholarship applications for the 2023 academic year. These scholarships offer opportunities to study for the Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma, and/or the Master of Laws (LLM) through distance learning at the University of London. Aspiring students have the flexibility to begin at any level, and they are not required to complete the entire program in one go. For instance, applicants can start with the Postgraduate Certificate level and progress gradually towards the LLM, or they have the option to conclude their studies after obtaining the PG Certificate.

Scholarship Requirements:

In order to be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must be in possession of the necessary qualifications required for admission to the programme. Canon Collin’s Trust requires applicants for this scholarship to be:

a national of, or have refugee status in, one of the following countries: Malawi, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe normally resident in one of these countries in possession of the necessary qualifications required for admission to the program currently employed in full or part-time work; able to commit a minimum of 10 hours to study per week.

Scholarship Duration and Benefits
The scholarships offered by the University of London International Programmes are made possible through their generosity. Four selected recipients will receive full tuition and examination entry fee waivers. They are given a flexible timeframe of 1 to 5 years to complete their qualification. However, it is required that scholarship recipients complete at least two modules per year. Satisfactory progress and academic reports are crucial for continued registration in the course. The selection of recipients for this award will be a joint effort by the University of London and Canon Collins Trust.

Required Supporting Documents
Applicants are required to submit the following supporting documents:
- Identification document (acceptable forms include passport, birth certificate, or driver's license)
- Academic transcripts (for LLM applicants)
- Degree certificates (for LLM applicants) or school/other certificates
- Reference letters from two referees
- A copy of the two most recent payslips.

Application Process
Ideally, applicants should provide an academic reference and a reference from an employer. If applying for the PG Certificate level without prior university attendance, two work references may be provided. Referees should focus on the applicant's eligibility for the award and demonstrate how they meet the selection criteria. The reference should highlight the applicant's strengths, capacity to study at the required level, and potential future impact.

Applicants are responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of their applications before submission online. All sections of the form must be completed for the application to be submitted. Information can be saved and edited until the applicant decides to submit.
